Integrate Dynamics 365 Customer Service with Dynamics 365 Business Central

Hello Community,

Does anyone have experience or examples to integrate Dynamics 365 Customer Service with Dynamics 365 Business Central? The use case here is the customer needs the case management capabilities of the Customer Service application, and also the financial features offered through Business Central. And I wonder if the two can integrate to share customer data (i.e. Account, Contact, or even custom entities), and if yes how that can be achieved.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

    Hi Leo,

Thank you for the helpful articles! The article covers the integration between Dynamics 365 for Sales and Dynamics 365 Business Central.

I wonder if Dynamics 365 for Customer Service is also supported for integration with Business Central too?

    Does anyone know?

    Thanks!

    Hi Eric,

    Thanks for your recognition :-)

Unfortunately, I did not find any other OOB ways about integration with Customer Service.

Since they are all based on common data service, we could try to sync the data of them by api.

I'm sorry that I don't know much about Business Central, for better help, I suggest that you could ask this question in Business Central forum.

    Best Regards,

    Leo

As far as I know, Customer Service runs on Dataverse, and Business Central integrates with Dataverse, but there isn’t really a ready-made CS to BC connector out of the box.

I’d start by syncing Customers and Contacts first and clearly defining the system of record - typically BC for financial attributes and Customer Service for cases and service data. If you want to avoid heavy AL customization, an external layer like Skyvia can be a straightforward way to set up and manage the data exchange with less ongoing maintenance.
