Hi guys,

I'm new to Dynamics and looking for some recommendations, I need to stream events from the MPOS to a CCTV system ( Linux based ).

Can you recommend me what's the best way to do it?

Ideally I'll need to stream events and transaction out of the POS system but no need of any sort of management.

Many thanks.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Can you elaborate more on your question? What type of events you want to stream and how what input expected by your CCTV system?

    Hi,

    thanks for the reply,

Just the POS transactions really, just wanted to know what options are available to get those via TCP/IP as a general question.

Most of the POS system we have worked before have an option on the software itself to stream transactions to CCTV system, not sure if this one does, that's why I'm asking.

    Which protocol are supported etc..

I saw the SDK which seems over complicated for the requirements, ideally we would like to receive JSON/XML over TCP/IP

    Many thanks

    Hi,

There are different layers and ways of communication happen throughout the POS system. POS mostly doesn't have database on same machine(unless offline), all data operations happens though retail server database.  Following are technical details of retail server to POS communication, hope it will help you.

POS to Retail Server - online

    - Odata RESTfull API (json)

    - You will get all the transaction data here.

If you want you can stream those retail server API and get whatever data required out of it. These api calls can be simply observed in fiddler to understand what data available in those api.
