AL Language In Visual Studio Professional 2022

Hi, is it possible to use the AL Language in Visual Studio Profressional 2022.

I already have a license for this product, so I don't understand why I need to use the free VS Code.

    It is not possible to use Visual Studio Professional.

    The language extension is only available for Visual Studio Code.

    It is not available in the marketplace for Visual Studio so it is doubtful. Given that you can install extensions when you have a copy of the vsix file perhaps you can attempt that. The on premise version may contain this.

    If you're a pure BC developer you could save yourself a license fee by dropping it.

    To start writing extensions for Dynamics 365 Business Central, you need a Business Central tenant, Visual Studio Code, and the AL Language extension for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
