Product 1428 does not support upgrading

I had GP 8 installed. I upgraded this on a test server to GP 9 and then to GP2010 successfully. I had ELectronic bank reconcile installed on GP8 but did not have it selected when I upgraded. Now on GP2010, I installed this and when  I run utilities, it fails saying Prodict 1428 does not support upgrading from version 8.0 in the DUINSTALL log.

    My Request:

Get Product 1428 does not support upgrading from version 8.0.0. on three company databases when upgrading from GP 9.0.371 to GP 2010

Electronic Reconcile is not in the .set file

    How do we resolve?

    Response:

There are 3 different options we need to look at:

Option #1: You use Electronic Bank Reconcile and you need the data.

If this is the case you will need to restore back and update the Electronic Bank Reconcile to 9.0 and then go to Dynamics GP 2010.

Option #2: You want to start over with Electronic Bank Reconcile on Dynamics GP 2010.

Make a backup of the DYNAMICS database.

You can modify the following script for your companies (I used Fabrikam as an example) and reset Electronic Bank Reconcile to start over:

    UPDATE DYNAMICS..DB_Upgrade SET db_verOldMajor = 0, db_verOldBuild = 0, db_status = 0 WHERE PRODID = 1428 and db_name = 'TWO'

    DELETE DYNAMICS..DU000030 WHERE PRODID = 1428 and companyID = '-1'

    DELETE DYNAMICS..DU000020 WHERE PRODID = 1428 and companyID = '-1'

You will need to install Electronic Bank Reconcile and then run Dynamics Utilities.

Option #3: You don't want Electronic Bank Reconcile at all.

Make a backup of the DYNAMICS database.

You can modify the following script for your companies (I used Fabrikam as an example) and remove Electronic Bank Reconcile:

    DELETE DYNAMICS..DB_Upgrade WHERE PRODID = 1428 and db_name = 'TWO'

    DELETE DYNAMICS..DU000030 WHERE PRODID = 1428 and companyID = '-1'

    DELETE DYNAMICS..DU000020 WHERE PRODID = 1428 and companyID = '-1'

    Try the update again.
