Config Package Dates

When using a configuration package to import a general journal we are encountering an issue where the posting dates are changing to the prior day.  For example, the date in the file is 12/15 but turns into 12/14 in the general journal after the import.  Has anyone encountered this?

I have the same question (0)

Did you get a solution because I am having the same issue and this is just not good.

In your package definition, try to avoid the validation of fields. I suppose there’s a field where the OnValidate triggers changes this date.

It is not the validation; before applying the package data, all date-fields already have a prior date, so the problem is in bringing over the data from Excel in to the package tables. I think it is something with the time zones.

There're 2 ways to get around this problem:

    - Format the dates as 2019-12-31 instead of 12-31-2019

    - In 'My Settings' change your Time Zone to UTC

These workarounds are based on my settings for the US, depending on your local settings this may need to be different.

Thank you so much for the blog response what a pain, but the UTC did work.  Thank you again.

I wrote this up in my blog post as well.
