Custom entity form security role doesn't work

So I have to Created a custom organization form for the support dept to remove all the surplus stuff from default view (sales stuff in the view mainly) I've done a test form by copying the default and removing some bits and assigned to the support security role.  people assigned to that role log into web crm and they get the full default form. I'm lost with it.. Any ideas?

When you login as Admin, do you have option to switch between forms? For the support role, have you restricted access to the Main Form?

    Hi Alexadkin

If I understand correctly, you have created a new form and assigned it to a security role. This is the first step in the solution, however, there is another step you need to take.  You need to remove the support security role from the enabled security roles for the default form. This way, they will only have one form available to them which is the custom form you built. Alternatively, you can set the forms order so that the support security role users have your new custom form first (higher priority) rather than the default form.

    Hope this helps!

    Alex,

Do the people get multiple form? I Mean the 'Test Form' and then 'Default Form'?

    Example here:

Now, please help me to check the Form by seeing the assigned security role.

Check whether your Default Form (go to the Form, click Enable Security Roles), now change from 'Display to everyone' to 'Display only to these selected security roles.

And then from the list, please remove the security role you want to use that you assigned to the 'Test Form', so that the users with that role cannot see any other Form, other than Test Form, if you have multiple forms other than The 'Test Form', so please do the same things.

And then uncheck the 'Fallback' if you think you don't want to give Default Form for those who are not assigned to any security role with the specific form, because if you enable that, by default, everyone will see this Default Form doesn't care the Role. I suggest you creating new Form and make it as default (not full form becoming the Default Form)

    Hope this can help you!

    Thank you.

I am having the exact same issue, using 2016 on premise... I have checked and tripple checked the forms security roles and made sure only the security group gets the form I'm trying to deliver and every other option is unticked. I have then gone into the other form and made sure again this is only being delivered to the security group intended.

But the new group I have just created gets group A and B's form when all it should be seeing is B's form. This same issue is happening with dashboards also, The new security group I have just created is being delivered not only the dashboard I have created for it, but it also gets the delivered security group A's dashboard by default :(

I have created security B from copying group A's options group B as been renamed and then a slight few customization made to security options.

If I move a user into security group C none of this happens. Can anyone shed some light. No matter what I do Security group B in my CRM install is being showed forms and dashboards that only group A should be seeing. Its really strange.

I believe I experienced the same situation. In the end I forgot to set privileges for related custom entities on the specific users form.

    Hi Mark

Can you please provide some more details on what you did to resolve this ?

As far I can remember there was data from a related entity on the form.

In case of a subgrid users need permissions to read data from the related entity. Otherwise the subgrid can't be shown on the form.
