Does NAS use or consume a Nav user license? - version NAV2009

Hi Everyone,

On a client NAV license, I have 2 NAS and they have 5 users licenses set up.

There are 2 companies on the database and each one is using one NAS.

When 5 concurrent users try to login on the database, the system is currently preventing 5 users to access it. Only 3 users can access the system when the NAS is running.

It looks like the 2 NAS licenses are using/locking 2 Nav licenses on the database.     Is the NAS consuming 1 NAV user license or there is a wrong set up with the NAS.

Can you please assist?

    Hello

    If I switch off the 2 NAS, 5 concurrent users can connect to the system without any problem.  However, when I switch on NAS job, only 3 users can connect to the database.

    Granule 310+410 License users = 1 Foundation + 4 users

    Granule 1200 = Qty= 1 and included = 1

    Granule id 1415 - NAS Qty 1

    Granule 1421 = Qty 1

    User-sessions are allowed via license-granule 1200, NAS-sessions via granule 1420(?).

    So - common users and NAS'es are not mixed up in the license.

    However - in the Database Information window you see "Licensed Sessions"; and this field does show max common sessions + NAS sessions!

    I guess that your license permits 3 common sessions + 2 NAS'es. And your Database Information shows "Licensed Sessions" = 5.

    Only clarifying: It is not possible to "use" NAS-sessions for a common sessions.
