Hi,
A sales quote will be created that includes services like installation. However, based on the payment terms, the quote should not be converted to sales order until a prepayment of for example of 10% is paid by the customer.
What are the options to complete such task in Finance and operations?
Thanks
Hi Sam,
I think so the prepayment functionality is not available in case if the sales order is not available. In order to use that functionality you must have a sale order in process. In your case there would be a work around you will have to check in manually if the payment in reference to the sales quotation has been made on customer account or not.

Zain
You can try to create a prepayment directly without associate it with a sales order. And then mark and settle transactions after invoicing the sales order.

Hello Sam,
There is no such standard functionality available.
You can of course try customizing it - for example - with the help of a new workflow that you create.
This will, however, not be easy because you also need a check that the prepayment does not exist but rather that it also has been paid and settled. Especially this last issue makes things complex.
Why is it that you cannot create the sales order first before the prepayment is made?
What is the issue if you just create the sales order and do not confirm/process it further?
Best regards,
Ludwig
It looks that we will have to use the sales order for that.
It can be possible
Thanks for the input
Sam
