When trying to install Dynamics SL 2011 client on citrix, I get the following message: "The installation of Microsoft System CLR Types for SQL Server 2012 (x86) appears to have failed. Do you want to continue the installation". I have not installed SL on citrix in years. Does anyone know what this message means. Can you give me any advise on installing the client on citrix so client can work remotely.

What is the OS version on which Citrix/2011 is running? Is it 64bit or 32bit? You may need to install the prerequisite version of the CLR types from SQL Server backward compatibility based on the bit level of the server. It sounds like the install (because 2011 is older) for this package is attempting installation of the wrong version of CLR Types, and needs to be passed over during installation because it already exists by installing manually. I would start there depending on your SQL/OS version for the connection through Citrix.
It seems the settings of the SL that you had installed few years ago were still present on your Citrix Virtual Desktop.
The applications may have been removed but the settings associated with may still remain.
Remove those settings from your Citrix Virtual Desktop and the path would be free to install the application again.
Does anyone have any idea of how to load SL client onto Citrix? I have still not been able to resolve this issue.
