Finance Charge to Invoice Report

ReportReport

I need to generate a report from Business central that shows what finance charges go to which invoice. Once of the steps in the "instructions" says to locate the "Applies-To ID" this field is not in my Detailed Customer Ledger Entries.  Here are the instructions I have below.

  1. Download Detailed Customer Ledger Entries
  2. Download Customer Ledger Entries
  3. In the Detailed Customer Ledger Entries locate
    1. Entry No.
    2. Document No.
    3. Applies-to ID
  4. In the Customer Ledger Entries locate
    1.  Document No
    2. Amount
    3. Remaining Amount
  5. Create a Relationship
    1. Click Data, Get Data, Combine Queries
    2. Merge the two tables using Applies-to ID = Document No.

I can even stress how urgent this is on our end, so any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, You may consider using Excel Layout, so that you can use formulas in Excel to complete it according to your needs.

    Thanks.

The link between Detailed Cust. Ledg. Entry and Cust. Ledger Entry is:
Cust. Ledger Entry No. in Detailed Cust. Ledg. Entry and Entry. No in Cust. Ledger Entry
The Applies-to ID is in the Cust. Ledger Entry table.

So, Steven Renders response answered my question but excel wont merge the two workbooks.

The other two suggestions I am sure will work as well, but I am not a programmer. I find it insane that BC does not have a simple and common quarry like this built in.

Thanks for your suggestions, but I am going to have to do this by hand. Yeah Microsuck

    Hi,

We have a preview feature for Excel reports. Please check them out, as they can be really helpful for this kind of analysis

    Thanks
    Ramesh
