Hi Friends,

where in AX you can create inventory dimension, or where InventDim got populated?

I am trying to figure out, in our InventDim table, there is InventDimId value is 'AllBlank'.

Hi Ganriver. InventDim's are created on the fly by various documents that use invent dim.

This may include PR, PO, SO, stock journals etc....

Basically a blank inventDim is created in code or by a datasource, its then passed to InventDim::findOrCreate(inventDim) to create a new one or pass back an existing combination or the default AllBlank Record.

Take a look at the PurchReqTable form's PurchReqLine datasource's write method...

In addition to Jonathan answer:-

InventDim is generated as 2n based on Use.

Ax you will use AX and you will use different dimensions, ax will check if any record exist in InventDim (Table) related to you r selected inventory dimensions? If yes it brings InventDimId of InventDim(Table) otherwise it generates a new combination
