W own CRM and  are thinking of implementing the CRM service module. Do you know if that module allows you to create RMA's in Great Plains and tracks contracts and warranteess for customers as well ?

Thanks

Are you saying you would like to integrate CRM and Great Plains or use CRM as a stand alone tool.

if you are thinking of integrating

I know the dynamic connector (free tool from Microsoft for people who are on partner source) can link CRM to Great Plains.

    www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

but I would also add it can be very difficult to setup and configure (I did it with CRM and NAV).

I'm not sure if you can create RMA's because I don't know what they are or anything about great plains I'm afraid.

The service module in CRM is pretty basic.  It does have contracts but doesn't have warranties.

My advice would be to start a CRM trial and check to see what functionality you get in the service section and be aware none of the service stuff is in the default Dynamic Connector.

    Hi David,

Service module on CRM has it own contracts which probably works different from Great Plains. Contracts on CRM Service module is to control the number or hours you work on incidents. RMA and warranties you will need to create.

Depending what you would like to integrate and your need, you can create new entities to support what you need. If you would like to implement Service module to control incidents and control the contracts you sold for your customers to support your product, so go further. If your need is control contracts and warranties of products you bought, so you will need to create entities and, probably, workflows to do that.

Please, let me know if I could help you. Ah, and create entities and work with CRM is easy and very intuitive.

    Best regards,

    Éber Gustavo
