Can we do department wise approval on purchase requisition?

Hi,

I have 5 different departments and i want the particular requisition to be approved by the head of department (from which the requisition is raised).

In Purchase order i have achieved this by selecting the financial dimension as department and specify the same condition in workflow.But in case of Purchase requisition, i have not able to figure out any condition for department financial dimension.

Please advise

Hi Pallavi.

You can use the purchase requisition Expense approvers to do so, it is setup under procurement and sourcing -> Setup -> Policies -> Expenditure approvers. Basically you create an approver structure e.g. "Department approvers", choose the deparment financial dimension. Then on your workflow choose Assignt to Participant, then choose "Expenditure approver" and choose the one you have just created. Your req will then be assigned to all the Department dimension owners as per all your lines. If they are all the same only one will get it.
