Error When Entering a Kit Item on a Quote

Posted on by 85

Every time I enter a kit inventory item into a quote I'm creating, I get a pop-up message saying, "Quantities must be distributed before you can save them" when trying to tab to the next line.  I don't have this issue when entering the same item into an order or when entering any non-kit items into the quote, and there are no backorders on this item so what can be causing this error to appear?

Thank you for any help you can offer.

Go to the document type setup and verify you have a transfer the quote to order or invoice.   One of those should be populated.   If not, it will be a 'standalone' doc.

This is the error I receive above the item that prompts it.  You can see that the quantity quoted is 1 and the quantities to invoice and fulfill are zero.  They autopopulate this way and the only quantity I'm able to change (besied the quantity quoted) is the quantity canceled.  This being the case, how am I supposed to distribute quantities?  Any ideas on what field the quantities might be missing from?

    Thanks!

Are you zeroing out the qty to order?   I can only replicate it that way.   The message is stating the obvious.   There are some quantities missing from a field where it requires some.
