GL Entry

Posted on by 112

I want to modify a field in "G/L Entry" table. If I try to import the data using configuration package, it throws error w.r.to permission assigned.

Modify Permission is ignored. How to change the permission assigned ? Or is there any other way to modify the table data ?

Error message is shown below,

Your license does not grant you the following permissions on TableData G/L Entry: Modify. To view details about your permissions, see the Effective Permissions page. To report a problem, refer to the following server session ID: '425'.

Using Permission property I was able to modify the table data. Thanks a lot for the solution.

So can you create action which will open a processing report and then use permission property in the processing report to modify the G/L entry table data.

and the give two option in request page to user like this

    Old Value : PPPIR

    New Value: TEST

Based on old value it will fetch the value to that specific field and then modify it with the new value

I have tried with customization as well. Triggering the action throws same error,

    Hi Beulah,

You cannot modify the data if it is present in G/L entry.

Even if you change the permission.

In order to edit the data you need to do customization

create an action which will edit the data of that particular field.
