Change of attribute max length published, not working

Hi,

I have changed the maximum attribute length for the address1_line1 and address2_line1 fields on the Lead entity to 100 and published it several times. Strangely enough the old limit of 50 is still enforced, leading to an error when trying to save a Lead with more than 50 characters.

If anyone has ideas, please let me know, thanks.

 Best, Henrik.

You can check in the database whether the value is getting reflecting or not. You can check it in OrgName_MSCRM database, MetadataSchema.Attribute table, column is length.

If that is not reflecting there, then it is not saving actually.

You can mannually change the length and try for a trail.

    Thanks

    Bali

Did you check the update rollups? May be resolved this issue in rollup.

Thank you for your input. Bali, you had a point, the change is indeed not reflected in the database. A manual change in the database is possible, although not what we would like to do.

Baris, we have installed all 7 rollups published to date, will see if I can find anything else on the web to resolve the issue.

If anything else comes to mind, please do comment, thank you.

    Hi Henrik Schmidt,

Please unregister all plugins and remove your cutom scripting of onsave event. I think may be your custom code does not allow to save the updates into database. Not sure...

    Dear Ankit,

thanks for the tip, however there are no plugins or custom scripting applied to it.

     Cheers, Henrik.

I have same problem with contact.address1_line1 when changing from 50 to 100/150.

Can't wait, so I try manually changing database Org_MSCRM.Tables.dbo.CustomerAddressBase.Line1. It works!
