How to create a new bank statement

Hi All,

I'm writing to need your support on how to create a new bank statement.
Although some bank accounts have been set up, I can't select any bank account in the list of Bank account when I click 'New' Bank statement in the Bank statement form. It was supposed that some bank accounts could be listed in this form to create a new bank statemet of a bank.
Are there some parameters need to set up?

Hi BillurSamdancioglu.

As your suggestion, I solved the warning messages. So now I can see the statement lines which were created by hand in the bank statement before.

Hi,

During validation system checks couple of things like, if opening and ending balances are correct or line qty field is the same as the lines entered. So you have to solve the warning messages.

Even if it is automated and have the same issues as manually created ones, you will still have this arning messages.

Hi, Yes, I can click "Validate" the statement which was created by hand. As a result, I got some validating warning messages. Is this the reason?

Thanks for your reply. I opened the advanced reconciliation and created a bank statement with two statement lines by hand, just like below illustration.

But when I open the worksheet in Bank reconciliation, the two lines are not appeared in the list of statement transactions. It was supposed that two lines are appeared in that list? Could you tell me how to resolve it?

Hi Jacky,

Bank statements are used in advanced bank reconciliation. You need to enable bank account for "advanced bank reconciliation" in the bank account master in order to import or create bank statement. If advance bank reconciliation option is turned off, that bank account will be treated as manual bank reconciliation account.

Have you selected the bank accounts as advanced reconciliation? Be careful! Once you select, there is no return. So do your testing in test environments.
