Automatic purchase order number on import

Hello,

I'm trying to import purchase orders into D365 using DIXF and "Purchase orders composite" entity.

I can export the purchase orders using this entity but when I try to import I have problems with the "PURCHASEORDERNUMBER":

- If I delete the tags in the header and in the lines I have this error:

Results. Field 'Purchase order' must be filled in.
Results. Validations failed

- If I don't delete the tags, the import process doesn't work because they want a value

- If I put a value there the process doesn't work because this field is not editable.

I think that the correct process is the first one but I don't understand the error. I have checked in some forums and some people have the same error but there is no solution there.

Any ideas?

Have you tried setting the number sequence for Purchase Order to manual?

Yes, this could work but I don't want this. I want import a purchase order and I want use the automatic sequence.

Hi Marcal

I had same issue and was obliged to allow user to create manual sequence number

Another thing which is important is to make sure that po header and line are correct otherwise if you have to modify them afterward if you want to edit them you may face issues like Field ‘Company’ and ‘Lot ID’ must be filled in” like in ax 2012

you'll need to add record in PurchLineForeignTradeCategory table

A customization will be needed to achieve your requirement
