I purchased an item A with 10 quantities and 12 rupees as unit price, but when i have finally received the item in inventory i can see the quantity but cannot see its price in the purchase tab in released products.

What has gone wrong?I have no idea.

I want to see the item cost price so that i can use the same in production during estimate step to know the estimated cost consumption.

I tried getting the cost price by inventory journals also there also i can see the quantity however can't see the cost, may be something is not activated.

Hi, it kind of depends on what you mean by 'received'. You will only see the purchase price on the released products item if you've posted a purchase order invoice and then only if you have 'Latest purchase price' ticked. Similarly you only see the [latest] cost price in the Manage costs fast tab if you have the 'Latest cost price' ticked. The cost price is updated when you do a financially updated receipt, and that's a purchase order invoice (but not a purchase product receipt) or an inventory journal.

Another way of looking at it is to look at the inventory transactions. if you have a Physical date but not a Financial date then that's a Physical receipt and you won't get costs updated.

    Hello RS,

Go to product> Manage Inventory tab> then Transactions button, can you see the Cost of the transaction?

Do you want to know Cost of the item or the Price of the item?

    Thank you,
