Hello,

I created a bar chart and with that bar chart I created a dashboard. The bar chart when I click on each of the bar I can drill own into a list of information. However after converting the charts into a dashboard, the drill down feature of the bar chart is gone.

Is there a way either through code to have the dashboard have the ability to do drill down when someone click on the bar of a chart ?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Can you share a screenshot? Is this on Dynamics 365 Online? Is this specific to any app?

    Hi partner,

I tested in my environment, and I can drill down on the bar chart of the dashboard, both in UCI and web client.

Could you provide more problem backgrounds or some screenshots?

Yes, when you are in dynamics 365. On the top, workplace you select the drop down, in that drop down you have option to choose different view. For example I select the jobs view. When I select the jobs view, there are a list of views, some of them are my own and others are the systems view. For example I select active jobs view which is a systems view. On the right side there is a chart area where I can click on the arrow pointing to the left. It expands. There I can click on system chart or create my own chart - I ended creating a bar chart.

with these charts systems or the ones I created. When I select the bar, any bars, on the left side it pops up the data in list view of the bar in question. Example below.

this drill down works. However when I use this bar chart created to add to my or create a dashboard (views/charts etc) from it, I can’t select the bars and see the list view of that particular bar. How can I do it, coding or setting to see a list of the bar in question ( selected).

    Hi partner,

I don't have a Job entity in my environment, only the following entities:

So I can't reproduce your problem.

Is Job your custom entity? If not, could you provide a screenshot of the entity properties in your default solution?

If in UCI, does this problem still exist?

You don’t have to have jobs. You can do it with any view. You can select from workplace or sales and select a view, and from that view select a system view. On the right hand side you can create a chart. With this chart you are able to do drill down but you can’t do a drill down if you include them to the dashboard.

    Hi partner,

I tested it again in the web client apps in my environment and didn't have your problem.

Which app are you using? Is it a custom app?

If you don't get a good solution, I recommend you raisea support ticket to get professional help from the Microsoft team.
