Good morning, I am trying to understand how the AnnotationBase file knows that the note created is for a specific company/client in the AccountBase table.

Hi bholmstrom,
You can use objectid and objecttypecode attributes in the annotation table
You dont need to query against table you can query against the annotation view or filteredannotation filtered view
You can query using
Select * from annotation
-- or filteredannotation
-- or annotationbase
Where objecttypecode = 1
-- 1 is the indicator that the notes are relates to an Account, Account object type code is 1
And you can use objectid to get notes from specific account
Where objectid ='guid here'
Or you can also query:
Where objectid in
(
Select accountid from account
)
You can use accountbase as well

This is perfect thank you. I wish they would give us a little roadmap on how the tables are linking. I was expecting to see 'accountid' not objectid. Now that you point out the other possiblites it makes sense though.
