When I enter the transaction in Payment Journal to issue a computer cheque to a vendor before I get print the cheque I preview the cheque. Then the cheque number is 80 and it prints the correct number. But I am going to do the next transaction then the cheque number is 82. If I preview the cheque it always skip one number. Please tell me what I can do for this?

    Hi Tharanga,

What if you don't preview the cheque, still it is getting skip one number?

This is not standard behavior. Check the Check Printing related Report and see if any issue.

In standard Navision you cannot preview a check report you have option to preview but that do not display a check number, i believe you have modified the report to preview and which is causing the issue you mentioned.

I agree with Suresh and Vishal, you need either to skip preview and always print first, or make changes to customization the way it would not increase numbering when printing.

    Hi

If I don't preview it then no skipping.

This means, there might be some customizations in preview cheque.
