Add in for uploading task recording in dynamics ax 7

Hi,

I have selenium configured on the project Perfsdk to execute scenarios recorded from the task recorder and do the automatic test, so to upload these scenarios, I go through submenu dynamics 365-> addins-> create C # perf test from recording in visual studio 2015.

and after, I want to create a module on dynamics ax 7, and apply what I do on this module, so to upload these scenarios on the module I would need the same thing, I will create a button that must have the same functionality of the addin dynamics 365-> addins-> create C # perf test from recording, that is why I need the source code of the addin.

so if you have any idea about how i will find the addin source code to import it and use it in my new module.

Thanks.

What would the point of generating C# code inside your ERP? Developers would have to download the code to Visual Studio to work with it, so it doesn't seem to provide any advantage.

    Hi Martin,

    Thank for your reply.

Well I want to create a screen in ax and reserve a space to put the repetitive scenarios, and I will need to create a button to uplode these scenarios

Can you give us an example of such a scenario? What is is from business perspective and what is it from technical perspective?

so I worked on performing the functional tests. I think that the type of scenarios is not important, if you read my first question you will understand that I need

Then I can't help you, if you refuse to give us enough information.

Your technical solution looks wrong, you shouldn't generate any C# code in production and you're wrong if you think that you can run the code without compilation.

No, I don't refuse to give you details.

but by the way, I save functional scenarios using task recorder, I upload them and I run them on the browser using selenium, if the test passes correctly the result gives "pass", otherwise I get the exception and the type of error, so I just want to project this and put it on a module on dynamics ax 7

But we don't what you mean by "to project this and put it on a module". I hoped you would explain it...

that is to say that I will create a module in ax, and I want to put a button to uplode these tests, and I reserve a space to put scenarios to run side.

like the Axeptance tool, not too much develop but that contains some similar features. by the way, I am preparing my graduation project, and I want to integrate the automation of tests in ax

Stop focusing on the layout of the user interface and think about what you want the system to do, what you'll upload and so on. Then share it with us.

Selenium tests run outside AX, so it's not clear why you would upload anything to AX. And I have no idea why you would let AX to generate C# source code. What would it be for? You aren't addressing crucial questions about the functionality...

Maybe you have some idea that you didn't explain, or maybe you don't know how it works and your technical design indeed isn't meaningful. In either case, you should think through the requirements and your proposed design and share it with is.

Note that the whole idea looks a bit strange to me. Testing should happen before deployment, not in production, so it's not clear why you want to deploy such tools there.
