Field mapping not working as planned

Hi all,

I have an entity called Event Registration which is in a N:1 relationship with Lead and Contact. I have mapped Country field so that Event Reg is picking up the value from either Lead or Contact. This is working great for manually created events. But we have web forms for these events created through HubSpot(using Scribe connector) and for these records created outside CRM the mapping doesn't work. Does someone have any idea why is this happening and if there is solution for it?

Thank you

Thank you so much for that Mahen. Country field is an Option set so workflows won't let me update it. Is there a workaround for this using OOB customization?

    Thank you

    Hi,

AFAIK out of the box mapping only works when you manually create child record from parent form, but here the child records is not created using CRM screen so you need to manually read country from parent field and need to set to child event registrations, I mean need to do some kind of configuration to set country.

    Hope it will help.

    Thanks
