Posted Purchase receipts quantity not reflected in Bin Content?

I have posted the Purchase receipts for 100 pcs but why isn't the quantity reflected in the Bin content?

Can someone please assist?

Hi,

how you are receiving a goods . from purchase order or from warehouse receipt?

1. if from purchase order -

on posted receipt look for find entries, press this button and system will show all posted entries created against posted receipt.

if you not able to see warehouse entries than you have not entered bin no while receiving a stock.

2. If from warehouse receipt - after the receipt posting system create a putaway(based on setup on location), please check putaway is pending for register.

But it was set up as 'Bin mandatory'. so, the bin code would have to be selected when posting receiving.

In the warehouse card, only 'bin mandatory' is ticked. we dont tick 'put away, require pick' etc as compulsory.

People have been saying that the warehouse journal will just create entries in the adjust bin waiting to be posted from the item journal to the item ledger. Do you know where to find that function?

you will find this function under in action ->function -> Calculate warehouse adjustment.

but this function and warehouse journal only not work if we use advance warehousing means. direct putaway and pick is ticked.

Hi Alok,

I've posted another Q about the error message "Bin mandatory must have a value in the location code" in the purchase order. But it doesn't allow me to select any Bin code for the selected location code. Why is that ?

Would this warehouse adjustment affect the financial statements? What's the accounting entry, would you know?

Hi,

are you getting any error while selecting a Bin? or coming up with blank list of bin?

if coming up with blank that go to location card -> Bin

and create a new bins in bin list screen.

No errors selecting bin code for any other warehouse location code selection except SW12.

No there will be not financial entries generate while we post warehouse adjustment. in this case system will only create warehouse entry,

when you use "Get warehouse adjustment" on item journal and post, at this stage system will create a financial entries for inventory account and inventory adjustment account.
