Migrated to a new NAV server (3-tier) and I am seeing the below show up frequently in the Application log on the NAV server (every 15 min give or take). The odd thing is the services never crash and everything appears to be working fine. Has anyone seen this before?

    Hello,

We currently do not support Dynamics NAV 2009 releases as it went out of life cycle support. As a quick hint however, I would look for more possible errors or warnings in the application event log file or set the service not to automatically restart.

Typically, there is another event pointing you to the actual log error in text format. It may give you some more hints.

I will open this up to the community in case they have something to add.

Hi Marco, thanks for the response.

The services are indeed not set to automatically restart and they actually never crash/stop -- it is just this AppCrash log I'm seeing in the Windows Events Application log.

I've looked through the Windows Error Reporting "Report.wer" files and do not see anything that stands out in them as the culprit.

The biggest clue to me is the nclcsrts.dll file description which states it is the "Dynamics NAV C\Side runtime Class Library". Is that add-in related by chance? Are there any further details on what this DLL is responsible for?

    Hello,

Unfortunately, I am not able to find out what causes the issue. Maybe you can debug the scenario but I doubt you will get something out of that. Does the issue also reproduce in standard CRONUS company?

Furthermore, I would ensure that no DLL's are blocked which does typically happen if you install them from a specific location.

    Via Powershell:

    GCI -Path 'c:\program files' -Recurse | Unblock-File

    Hope it does help.

    Thanks.
