Hi:

Is there a report or screen in Business Central that will show at what Work Center the Production Order is at?

In other words, is there a way to tell at what "spot" in the Routing the Production Order is at?

There isn't much in base BC to see the specific Operation a Production Order is on. However, you can open the Prod. Order Routing Line (5409) table directly and then filter by Routing Status to get the view you want:

Without development, you can do this through change the site to include table=5409 at the end to open the table, then apply the filters you want.

You could also ask a Developer to give you a link to this table with preset filters for easier access.

Agreed with Ben. I have checked Power BI standard reports also but not fulfills this requirement

Based on Prod. Order Routing line table, you can use configuration package to extract the data.

Else, guide technical resource to develop this or use this as an standard but yes navigation is difficult.

Currently, you can only analyze the table by directly opening it or exporting it from a Configuration Package.
Or, you can have a developer customize a new list page.

In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, there is no direct standard report or screen that explicitly shows the current Work Center or exact "spot" in the routing where a Production Order is at in real-time. However, there are some key tools and reports that can help track production order routing progress and work center status:

Prod. Order - Routing List Report: This standard report provides a detailed overview of the routing steps for a production order, listing operations with their assigned work centers and the sequence of steps. Though it shows the routing structure and assignments, it does not dynamically show at which step the order currently is but can be used to track progress when combined with operation status data.

Operation Status Columns and Lists: Business Central shows operation status (Not started, Started, Partially completed, Completed) in production order operation lists. This helps understand which operations have started or completed and thus infer the current routing step.

Production Order Queues on Role Center: The Role Center in Business Central can display lists of released orders and their routing steps, providing visibility into what is currently on the floor and operations started, helping with shop floor management and production tracking

In the standard Business Central setup, there is limited visibility into the specific operation stage of a Production Order. However, the Manufacturing Power BI app for Business Central gets a lot of updates in the 2025 release wave 2.
