Change the behaviour of the phone button in phone number fields

Hello there,

I have removed phone calls from the activity timeline and we have custom activity types more aligned to our business process. However, when a user clicks on the phone number button it intiates a teams call and also opens up a new phone call activity. Is there any way to change this behaviour? Does anyone have any suggestions on what to look into ?
