Campaign Activities

Hello,

I recently created a marketing campaign and distributed campaign activities (phone calls) to a member of my team. I had anticipated that this would create tasks for him to call each of the leads in the campaign. Does this not happen or did I do something incorrect?

He can see the campaign and list but had I not told him it was there he wouldn't have known.

Thanks

Helen.

    RE: Campaign Activities

Hi, I am having the same issue and I feel like I am missing something...

Did you find a solution for this?

  • RE: Campaign Activities

    (Hello Neil,

one additional question to that (as i get the distributed calls in the activities of the assigned person)

But ... she(he) can only see (veiw below) the subject (of the calling activity) and the regarding (name of the campaign activity)

but no information on "who" to call and what "function/role" thet have , and at what "company" to call, wheras in normal call activities i can have more info in the view

I've tried to adapt the view - but as the "regading" is campaign activity i can only see/select in adv search info on the campaing and not on the contact) i've tried a marketing list consiting of Leads and one constiting of  Contacts but same result.

Do you see a way to get a better 'view' on thed campaing takst in the activity screen?

    Thanks in advance,

    filip

I think you would need to do one of two things .....

    1. Split your lists into three marketing lists and three campaign activities. Then set the owners on each. (That might be overkill!)

    2. Assign all of the phone calls to one person, maybe a team leader. Then re-assign the calls as required, after they have been created.

I have certainly seen option 2 used a few times. When marketing might create the calls and assign to the telesales manager. The telesales manager would then dish them out to their team as required.

    Hi Neil,

Thank you so much for the above, I am creating a new campaign and I need to be able to distribute phone call activities to three team members for one mailing list. Is there anyway to do this as it looks as though I can only distribute to one team member? The team members are not the owners of the records in the mailing list.

    Thanks in advance.

    Helen.

    RE: Campaign Activities

You create a campaign activity and have it linked to a marketing list. When you distribute the campaign activity phone call records will be created. It is these phone call activities that the team member will use. Rather than the campaign activity.

A couple of things to check ...

Did you add your marketing list before you distributed the campaign activity? (If not, you might need to start again.)

On the campaign activity check that the channel is set to "phone" before you distribute.

On the campaign activity check that the marketing list(s) are shown. (from the campaign.)

When you distributed the campaign activity were you prompted for the details of the phone call. And how did you set the ownership. You can assign the phone calls to yourself, a specific user or the owner of the accounts, contacts or leads from you marketing list. In you case it sounds like you'd need to assign them to your team member.

Once completed your team member should have open phone call activities waiting to be made.
