We currently use GreatPlains and manually sign our Payables checks.  Is there a function that can be enabled to include signatures on checks printed?

I actually have been trying to figure out the same thing.  I have done some research and have seen some 3rd party applications that can be added into GP to print signatures on checks and create different rules based on $ amount and that sort of thing.  Is there anything already built into GP that can be enabled or added through the report writer to print signatures on the checks?  I am less concerned with setting up all the rules to govern when signatures are required, and more concerned with saving the CFO from having to sign hundreds of checks each week.  Thanks in advance for any guidance you can give me.

The check is just a report like any other GP report.  It just happens to print on check stock.  You should be able to add a jpeg of the signature to the signature line using Report Writer.  Of course, the signature will print on all checks, regardless of dollar amount.  If you want rules-based signatures, check out Mekorma.  They are the de facto standard for GP check printing.

    Hope this helps,

If adding graphics to a report please look at these KBs to get the best method.
