How to add Field Security on Address Fields

I was wondering if it's possible to add Field Security to any of the Address fields so I can setup profiles so only certain roles can edit the address fields (city, country, street1, etc)

I tried on both the Account Entity as well as the Address Entity and the options are greyed out with Disabled selected (see attached image), it appears any managed field cannot have security turned on. Is there a way around this?

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

you can't setup field level security on system fields.

So you could either create similar custom field and add security to those and have a worfklow copy the values to the system fields

or you could use javascript to lookup the security role of the users and only allow users with a certain security role to edit the fields.
