Common user mistakes regarding form capture feature

Hello friends!

I have a question about the form capture feature as I have some problems with get it to function well.

Based on the guide Microsoft has about this feature, I have created a marketing website in D365 with the URL where the form is found (external webpage). I have then received a capture cod which I have pasted into the webpage's body.

Then I navigated to the form section of D365 and selected New form capture, pasted the URL that goes to my web page where the form is. I then mapped the fields from the form on the external webpage with form fields within D365.

Now to the problem. I have managed to capture the visits to my form, but when I submit the form it’s not reaching D365. Nothing turns up.

Surely this can be anything. But is anyone familiar with common problems or user mistake that you could easily do when setting up / using this feature.

Thanks in advance

Carl

    Hi Pihcalle,

Do you add URL into whitelist rule?

    Hi pihcalle,

Could you share your process with some necessary steps? We could pay attention to the following points:

    1. As Ai Le said, you should add your website in whitelist rules, a more recommended way is to authenticate your website domain in settings.

    2. Give proper name to input elements. (your crm field logical name would be a good option)

    3. Open Submission tab of your Marketing form record, and check whether there is any pending status submission.

If there are any records, please check why submission failed:

In addition, I can help you test if you could share me your form HTML code.

    Regards,

    Clofly
