I currently have a single portal site installed within my CRM environment and I want to create a second portal site connected to the same CRM instance. I've followed the instructions from Adxstudio on creating the second site in IIS and copying the MasterPortal folder and giving it a unique name.
My question is, can I somehow copy the existing portal record, pages, templates, site sitting, ect., and associate them with the new portal site without having to manually rebuild everything? I know there is a website copy tool for the version I'm running, CRM 2016 on-premise and portal 7.0.0021, but it isn't clear on if this can be run on the same CRM instance. It appears that the website copy tool's primary purpose is to export a portal site from one CRM instance to another which is not the desired result.
I'm trying to not have to set everything back up as the majority of the information contained within the site will exist in the second site. The reason for two sites is because we have to set of customers and the content on some of the pages needs to be unique otherwise I'd just use the one site.
