How to add the Labor cost to an assembling item.

Hi All,

I have a situation where I want to add the labor cost for the items which we used to assemble.

I have item A, B, C and D which I will assemble together to form an FG X.

And now I want to add the labor cost for the item X so that the unit cost will be added by 5% for the labor.

If the total cost is 100 now it has to be 105.

But when I entered the value in the OverHead Rate and Indirect Cost the unit price dint get updated I am getting the same unit price on the orders as 400.

Is there any other way by which I can add the labor cost to the FG.

    Hi,

    That's correct.

The "Overhead Rate" and "Indirect Cost %" influence the costs only when new stock is created (through production, assembly or purchase etc.)

You must run the report "Adjust Item Costs/Prices" to amend existing unit costs.

    Here you'll find details: docs.microsoft.com/.../inventory-how-adjust-item-costs
