Hello,

We are wanting to setup database logging for purchase order modifications/creations.

I am not too familiar with how AX performs logging. Is it outside of SQL? What is it writing to disk? Does the storage need to be available on all three AOS servers or can use a drive on one of our SQL servers to store the logs? Will we query these upon accessing the logs? Does AX handle log pruning on its own?

Hi,

Changes logged/tracked are stored in table SysDatabaseLog in Dynamics AX database. It uses SQL server to store the logs and we can query the logged data. You can check DatabaseLog report(Path:System administration/Reports/Database/Database Log) for the logged records.
