How can I filter a list based on user and status?

Hi,

I have two separate but similar questions.

1. How can I show a document list page like Sales Order List (9305) based on users. Specific users should be able to see particular orders.

11 specific users can only see sales order from 1-100

13 specific users can only see sales order from 5000-9000

2. How to filter same list based on a STATUS field. STATUS::NEW, STATUS::PENDING, STATUS::APPROVED

You have to write code on OpenPageTrigger of the document to filter the record based on your criteria.

If there are 100 users then do I need to write 100 conditions?

Is there any other efficient way?

Does each user has different condition ? I have never seen such a requirement, usually it is between group of people.  Anyhow do check if security filter can help in your scenario.

You need to have USERID to be flow in Sales Order and based on that you can set filter.

What do you mean by 1-100 or 5000-9000 ?

Are these order no. or location code ?

I think as Suresh suggested you need to combine users by creating groups . Then write your logic in a code unit applying filters and other stuff. Finally you can call it any ware you needed it. This is the more smart way to handle the requirement.

    Hi Zulfi,

Security Filter feature may help you. You need to create some Permission Sets and assign them to appropriated users.

You can refer to below links for Security Filter feature:
