Credit and Debit Columns in Journal Postings

(0) ShareShare

Posted on by

We are posting a sales invoice and we notice that in the jouranl posting that is generated the amounts are all represented in the same column ('Amount in Transaction currency' column)with different sign. Are there debit and credit columns in the journal posting window that differenciate the posted amount for each account.

Thank you in advance.

Kind Regards,

Michalis

    Hi Michalis,

The positive number represents the debit and the negative number the credit posting/account.

    Hi,

In general you cannot differentiate the amounts in separate columns.

However, there are country-specific features available that can do what you are looking for.

Here is an example of a voucher transaction for a company operating in JP.

If I understood you correctly then this is what you are looking for.

My suggestion would thus be to talk with a developer that can help you making this country-specific feature available for your country-environment.

    Shouldn't be too difficult.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
