Hi,

Please help me with understanding setup for Transfer Issue & Transfer Receipt in AX 2012 R3 using the advanced warehouse management.

    You can download the Warehouse Management System Implementation Guide for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 which is describing how to setup this module.

    Hi Andre,

    Thank you for the document, it helped. There is also another problem I am facing is to setup sales, purchase and transfer order setups for multiple items on the same order. I did try doing it myself but I got stuck at the Put stage and the system keeps asking me for a Location and when I enter the location as per the setup I have done, it keeps saying "Location type is invalid, Invalid Location". When I checked all the set locations, I did not find any gap.

    Hi Neeta,

    In the past I had the same issue which is for sure setup related. Currently, I enjoy a vacation and don't have the option to verify things in an environment. Probably, you can compare your setup with a standard demo environment to see where there are differences. Focus then on location settings and used queries.

    Hi Neeta,

    Let me try to cover for André whilst he's enjoying a break ;-)

    On the Work class you have called SO1, check the whether you have anything in the Valid put location types area. If yes, either remove all the location types that you have set for SO1, or add the Location type which matches the Location type on the Location profile of Location which you are entering on the mobile device as the Put location.

    Also, check this:

    At Warehouse management parameters -> General -> Location types -> Final shipping location type, you have specified a location type.

    At Warehouse setup -> Locations, find the location you are using as the Put location. Does the location profile of this location have the same location type as the parameter above?

    Thank you so much for covering for Andre and supporting me. Appreciate your guidance. I certainly have done most of the settings you have mentioned but will confirm with the Valid put location types and a few others and update you forsure.

    Hi Andre and Guy,

    This looks to be sorted now. I had actually deleted the extra transactions line that is system created while assigning a user to the warehouse because I used to get another error which mentioned that location. I have now set up a completely new site and warehouse and related setups and have not deleted the extra line auto created, therefore overcoming this error now.

    I have also been trying to do some more scenarios like creating a shipment for multiple sales order lines on the same sales order. I am unable to go pass the PACK process as the system shows a message saying the LP already exist in another warehouse. I have checked the setups but not sure what I may be missing out on.
