Hi,I want to know is there any difference between discount & price adjustment in the main functionality or in the financial effects

By "price adjustment" you mean the user manually modifies the item price on the sales order/purchase order?
No I mean in AX for retail POS .. thanks Zrimalt
Here is the difference between a Discount and a Price adjustment
• Price and discount are stored in two different fields on each line of a transaction(order)
• Price and Discount can be posted independently to financials. This way revenue can be reported separate from discounting.
• Discount can be visually shown in POS (and call center) as a number separate from Price for lines and transaction total
• In AX 2012 R3 and later each discount applied to a line is recorded in the discount transaction table. This allows richer reporting of discount usage.
So here is an example that can be setup with USRT demo data.
• Item number 81320 – Brown Leather Gloves is $50
• Create a $5 Price adjustment and a 10% Discount
• You will get a Price of $45 and discount of $4.50 for a total of $40.50
