AUDIT APP CHANGES PER VERSION

Greetings to all of you.

I will describe to you my need with a simple example.

Let's say i have deployed to a customer of mine , an app , with version 1.0.01.

I modify some already existed objects which are included in the version 1.0.01 ( for example pageextension 50000 on Purchase Invoice page ) and create a new app version 1.0.0.2.

Is there a way to track down , what are the differences between the 2 app versions? Also , where can i find when the new version was created/uploaed on my customer tenant?

This is a need of a customer of mine who must track down all the modifications which occured on every app version ( whether is a creation , a deletion or a modification of an object) within the app.

To sum up , i need some tips regarding on how to audit and carefully monitor the development/upgrade of an app.

Thank you in advance for your time.

    Hi,

In first case you can create and upload your APP's repositlity in Git Hub or Azure Devops, so that you can easily compare what are changes done in current and previous app. you can also install one app in your VS code, Git Lens so that I will allow you to update or commit you changes into Git hub or Azure Devops.

    marketplace.visualstudio.com/items

    cloudaffaire.com/.../

    azure.microsoft.com/.../devops

    docs.github.com/.../create-a-repo

Secondly you can see what can be insallted or failed by going in to Installation status of Extension management page in BC.

    Thanks.

Hi, you can use GitHub or Azure DevOps to manage the source code.

Hope this can give you some hints.

    Thanks.
