Transaction date not within pay period date range.

I'm getting this warning every time I do a pay run. I know that I can continue the pay run with the warning, but this warning will be true for every pay run. So, I'd like to get rid of the warning. Is this possible?

Yes you can. In the payroll run be sure the dates on the build checks window includes the transaction dates of your payroll transactions. Just because I'm lazy, I tend to put the whole year within the range so that I do not need to change it with each payroll.

    Leslie,

Thank you for the reply! That makes sense. Is this the only way to work around the warning? I have never heard of a company in which its payroll transaction date is within the pay period. It seems like a pointless warning.

    Hi,

As far as I know, that is the only way. If you look at the top of your Payroll Transaction entry screen, you'll see the pay period range. If you expand the line detail, you'll also see a 'Date From' and 'Date To' field. It's the Date From/To range that the Build Checks process is looking for. It doesn't care about the actual payroll transaction date. At least that's how I think it works.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
