Our company name on the 1099 Miscellaneous form is too long and I need to reduce one of the Words in the name to make it work. I know you can create a calculated field in report to achieve that. I created a calculated field for the Vendor but it's a bit challenging with reducing a word, can anyone please help.

    Hi Cynthia,

    When you go to print 1099's you navigate to:  Tools - Routines -Purchasing - Print 1099.

    The 1st field on this window is "Company", and you can enter whatever you like here (so there is no need to make any changes in Report Writer).

    Please provide some more details around the issue you are having if I have not understood correctly.

    Cynthia,

    When we run into problems with field size limitations, a typical solution is to choose another field (i.e. a user defined field) and concatenate them.  There is no need to make a calculated field, in this instance, you just put the additional field on the report next to the original field.
