Nav 2013 - Multi level Prod Order Scheduling - Wait time - Wrong Ending hour

Posted on by 25

Hi Experts,

I have a question concerning multilevl production orders.

Here the simple test I did on CRONUS database :

I have created 4  production orders called:

  • NAVOF-00
  • NAVOF-01
  • NAVOF-02
  • NAVOF-03

With the followwing caracteristics

NAVOF-00 has only one component which is NAVOF-01 (WO) : Routing :  time : 2 h Wait time : 48 h

NAVOF-01 has only one component which is NAVOF-02 (WO) Routing : time : 5 h : wait time : 48 h

NAVOF-02 has only one component which is NAVOF-03 (Item) Routing : Run time : 4 h wait time : 48 h

When I run the planning the planning worksheet, I get the following result :

I dont understand why NAVOF-01 and NAVOF-02 have an ending hour at 16:00

The total duration of the tasks are correct (run time + wait time) and the "wait time" is out of calendars, which is corretc, but why NAVOF-01 does't ends at 14:00 and NAFOF-02 at 11:00 ?

It looks like as if Navision doesn t not calculate at the "hour" level but only at the "day" level".

Have have spent hours on this problem and i have't found any reason why I have this result.

Thanks a lot for your help and support,. in advance :-)

Best Regards,

Jérôme

    Jerome,

Using BC, I setup the 4 Items, BOM's, and Routings. I then ran the planning worksheet for a demand on a Sales Order of 1 unit.

The Start and End times look good based on run and wait times. As Marco noted, new version resolve this issue so recommendation is to upgrade to Business Central.

    Thanks,

    Steve

    Hello Jérôme,

Is it possible to verify this in a supported release of Dynamics NAV. The first supported release of Dynamics NAV is the 2018 release. Better is of course to verify in Dynamics 365 Business Central. You can get a trial release via https://trials.dynamamics.com.

    Thank you.
