Is it possible to have a note added by the person required to complete a task assigned to them please?

Could you please rephrase your question ? I am not sure I understand fully what do you want to achieve ?

When a task is assigned to a user, the user goes to their self service and can open the task. They can change the status from not started to started to completed. What I was looking to know is if there is a way to add a box where the user can add notes as an example saying "task delayed due to no access to file" or any other reason. Or task completed access granted etc.
Hi Raj,
You can add a custom field in ESS > My information > View tasks but It is not in editable mode
Also, check other places where you want to add a custom field, and most importantly, It should be editable in your case.
