HiI was trying to see if it was possible to add a new field to the form 'MCRSalesQuickQuote', it lets me add a field but when i try to save/build it keep getting the error below. Is this not allowed ?
You indeed aren't allowed to change models owned by Microsoft. The right approach is creating an extension of this form in your own model and adding the field there.
As Martin suggested, you will not be able to override the standard object like in AX 2012. Here in D365FO, we have a new concept called extensions. You need to right click and create extension in your project and add the new field in that extension.
Hi, In addition to above comments, you can check this article on creating new field in table using extensions (Standard objects cannot be overriden, only extended in D365 F&O)
