SL 7.0 SP4 Client Install on VM

We have one Mac workstation with VMWare Fusion 4 and Windows 7-64 bit that we'd like to use SL on. After installation of the client software to a mapped drive (the same as other PC workstations) the program will start but fails after entering the server/database. We use Windows Authentication (so it seems odd that the SYSADMIN user dialog comes up asking for this info). After entering the server/DB/company I get the error "user(my authentication name) is not associated with a Microsoft Dynamics SL user. Have an Administrator run User Maintenance to configure this user for Microsoft Dynamics SL."  Because I'm an existing user there is nothing I can do in User Maintenance.

Any idea what's happening here? Any ideas greatly appreciated.

    Hi Steve,

    Did you check in Windows User Maintenance to see if your Windows User ID is linked to the Sysadmin user in SL?

    User SYSADMIN is registered to our provider. I think that the only reason it defaults to that is it can find any of our users?

    Hi Steve,

    Do you have access to SQL server management studio?  If so, I'd like you to run the following against the system DB:

    select userid, windowsuseracct, * from userrec

    What is the userID that is associated to the SL SYSADMIN login?

    What is the windowsuseracct associated to your SL userID?
