Scheduled Payments

Posted on by 235

Hi Everyone-

I just have a few quick questions regarding the Scheduled Payments and how it works exactly.

1) How do you know if a Scheduled Payment has been posted?  I can see the Scheduled Payment on my AP Historical Aged Trial Balance but not in the G/L.  Could this mean it was posted to the Payables Subledger but not to the G/L?  (I know this seems unlikely but unfortunately has happened before.)

2) How do I reverse a Scheduled Payment?  (I say Scheduled Payment because this was literally set up for one payment...)  Nothing is applied to this Scheduled Payment so it is still Open.  I noticed I cannot simply void the Scheduled Payment.  However, I do not understand what will happen if I delete the Schedule Payment.  Will it create a reversing journal entry in the Payables Subledger to offset the Scheduled Payment?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

tentwistle
