Deeplink from button in CRM to Business Central not working after upgrading from NAV to BC

Hi,

We use CRM and Business Central together. We have a button in a customer's profile in CRM to click directly to the customer's debitor card. It used to work from CRM to Navision.

After upgrading from NAV to BC it stopped working. It can now only link to a web GUI version. I am being told that the application client is updated via script every time it is being opened so, thus, it is not possible to make deeplinks in the CRM. Is this correct?

Is there no way to make it work like before in NAV, i.e. click the button a button in CRM and then it opens the profile directly in the Business Central on-premise application?

Seems odd to me if this should not be possible somehow. Can anyone help?
