Yammer is it worth it.

Hello Everyone:

We are a small testing laboratory company that test high end lighting fixtures, we use CRM online with less than 10 user so far. We are think of using Yammer and I would like your feedback on Yammer. We are also not sure if the companies that we do testing for would use Yammer.

1. Do you like Yammer?

2. if so why

3. if you don't like Yammer why?

    I see yammer as an internal twitter and sharepoint lite

    it's a quick and easy to collaborate with people at work

    it's quicker/easier and less formal than email, less likely to get lost in people's overflowing inbox

    It's a good way to create groups/topics of information and share information to the people who are interested in it.  

    it's a great way to share interesting/useful documents and links

    The problem I have found is if people don't understand what it's for or why they should use it then they won't.  If everyone isn't using it then it doesn't really work, so you will need everyone to embrace it at your workplace.  

    Although it will still work if groups/projects use it because they will get the benefits and others will see how effective it can be, which might prompt them to start using it.
