Custom Control : check field required

Hi,

We want to make a custom control for a single line of text field.

The text colour should change if the field is required.

No experience in development of customer controls is available at the project.

When I did some research on the internet, I found an example that got info by using Xrm.Page. ...

However this component will be developped for an online V9.1

We don't use Xrm.Page but formContext.

Are there "safer" ways to know if the field is required than using Xrm.Page? Is the attribute passed within parameters or so?

If someone can point me to some information about creating a custom control, I would be glad (I could only find 1 source).

    As I could not find a clear explanation, I made a custom control on a trial environment to debug.

    the Attribute is called requiredLevel.

    Hi,

    You can create a custom control in html. Only problem is whenever you wish to save the control value in MS crm database. You need to call API service update method in background. For all the validation over a custom control, you can implement that using jquery.
